The Master of Ceremonies is chosen for his experience and for his elegance and dignity. He directs the Office of the Ceremonial, of which chooses the collaborators, collaborating with the ecclesiastical Master of Ceremonies to the extent of competence; provided with appropriate financial coverage by the Treasurer, he meticulously organizes and directs personally all the non-local ceremonies of the Order. For his tasks he may appoint a trusted Vice Master of Ceremonies. He collaborates with other Knightly Orders when the Order participates in ceremonies on invitation. During the Order ceremonies, he distributes the seats to the visiting delegations and to the Knights and Dames of the Order. After hearing the General Council, he issues appropriate provisions for the General Ceremonial of the Order.
